If we come to God with a pure heart and realize who He is with whom we have come face to face, would we ever dare to be hypocritical? Actually, we should never pray beyond what the Holy Spirit has prompted us to pray.

• And as the renewed soul hungers and thirsts after righteousness, these holy inward desires break out into earnest, supplicating prayer.
• Increasing your faith and finding happiness in His guidance will eventually bring about your heart’s desires.
• Physical appetites are the attributes of a living body, not of a corpse, and spiritual desires belong to a soul made alive to God.

• Once you’ve strengthened your relationship with God, you’ll start getting what you want out of life.

Thus, there is no sense of desire, and the whole thing is a mere routine. Therefore, those who do not have a real love for others cannot pray for others. When we feel others’ need to be like our own, we will pray sincerely for them. When we feel others’ need in the same way they feel it themselves, we will make supplications for them faithfully. It is because there is no love for others that prayers have become mere empty voices.

We should sympathize with others more and should identify ourselves with others more. May we henceforth pray with our mouth and also with our heart. May our prayers reach the presence of God like fragrance. These heaven-given appetites are the proof of a renewed heart, the evidence of a stirring spiritual life.

«Ojalá fueras frío o caliente. Así que, porque eres tibio, y no frío ni caliente, te vomitaré de mi boca». «Como niños recién nacidos, deseen la leche sincera de la palabra, para que por ella crezcan».

We should pay all the more attention to this matter when we pray for others. Many supplications are but a kind of payment of debts!

Every human alive has a desire of their heart. They aspire to be, they hope to become, they strive to do, something that is in their heart. An intense desire burns within every human heart to have an answered prayer from God or to have a special purpose or be used by God. Some desire that their spouse be saved or that they return to the love that they once felt, while others pray for their prodigal children to return to the Lord or be saved in the first time. Every one of us has a deep, heartfelt desire.

If we do this, surely it is counterfeit. Hence, it is best to allow the Holy Spirit to place in our spirit the things that we should pray for, so that we will not offend God.

Or better yet, how were they able to have their prayers answered by God and receive the desires that they have longed for? A better question is “How does a person receive the desires of their heart? ” God clearly says that there is a way to receive the desires of our hearts and it is found in the Bible and perhaps it is stated no more clearly than in Psalm 37. Those who truly understand God and His holiness and majesty will never do such things.
